Distribution has the meaning assigned by subsection 55(one) of the Income Tax Act (ITA). For the reasons of section fifty five of your ITA, a distribution means the immediate or indirect transfer of property of the corporation (referred to in section fifty five as being a "distributing corporation") to a number of of its corporate shareholder
